Coming Up! Family Fire & Feast

Come and join us as a family to share some food and a much needed catch up! Each session we will cook some food on the fire and you are invited to bring a snack to share. Hot drinks, tea, coffee etc will be available. There will be storytelling, occasional campfire songs, and folklore. We'll celebrate the seasons & natural world cycles. On site there are hammocks, trees to climb and dens to be built.

Gather round our first fire of 2024 that falls on the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Green Wood Dragon. This offers us the opportunity to witness the magnificence of the woodland at this time of year. We invite you to sit in nature, pause, reflect and listen to the whisperings the woodland has to offer. We intend to create a tranquil space where we will explore the rhythms of February with a gentle welcome circle, a meditation to make space for February, make some Chinese paper lanterns, listen to some folk lore stories & songs and have the opportunity to do some green woodworking. We will discuss garden wildlife in February, cooking from the garden during February and send you off with a snack of the month to make at home with your loved ones. Our feast for this month will be a heart warming Moroccan Stew with Jacket potatoes cooked on the open fire to share with you all.
