Your team doesn't need another away day...

Most team days are:

Polished

Predictable

Forgotten by Monday

Wilderdays isn’t that.

We take your team out of the boardroom and into something that actually changes how they relate to each other...

Less performance

More connection

More honesty

"This was the best social we've had.

So lovely to leave our desks and do something different. There were games, meditation, time for wondering, and chatting around the fire with hot tea and snacks. We all left with our handmade wooden butter knives, clay bowls and a sense of calm. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and wholesome social for their team."

Tonina from Social for Good.

THE PROBLEM

A lot of teams are:

Tired

Disconnected

Going through the motions

People are “fine”…but not really.

And no amount of trust falls or pub lunches fixes that.

WHAT WE DO

We create nature-based experiences to strip things back.

No corporate fluff.

No forced fun.

Just fire, movement, challenge, real conversation

- the kind that doesn’t usually happen at work.

Because when you take people out of their usual roles…

...something shifts

WHO IT'S FOR

This is for teams who:

Are done with surface-level culture

Want something meaningful (not performative)

Are open to doing things differently

Not for teams who want:

A polished corporate package

A tick-box away day

To stay comfortable

WHAT A DAY LOOKS LIKE

No two sessions are identical, but they often include:

  • Fire-making & bushcraft

  • Wild crafts

  • Grounded movement, challenges & games

  • Guided conversations (without awkwardness)

  • Space to slow down and actually connect

  • A shared meal, cooked on the fire

  • Held outdoors, in nature - where things tend to get more honest.

"I found it to be such a wonderful experience. I honestly can’t remember the last time I spent meaningful time in nature, and the connection

I felt was unforgettable...it was beautifully organized and impactful.

Thank you again for such a memorable and well-planned event."

WHAT CHANGES

This isn’t about a “nice day out”.

It’s about:

Teams actually talking to each other

People being seen beyond their job title

Breaking patterns that keep teams stuck

You’ll notice:

More honesty

Better communication

A different energy when you’re back at work

An incredibly well facilitated day creating the perfect mix of engaging conversations and learning with space to enjoy the wilderness and its healing. Kathleen and Victoria have created a beautiful experience. Thankyou x

"I found it to be such a wonderful experience. I honestly can’t remember the last time I spent meaningful time in nature, and the connection I felt was unforgettable."

Step 1 - Connect

Nature Connection for Businesses has a triple impact - it reconnects individuals to themselves, to nature to each other. Spending time in nature has been shown to reduce stress, improve mood, and increase overall well-being. It can improve cognitive function and creativity, and provide opportunities for physical activity. Connecting with nature can foster a sense of awe and wonder, plus promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of the natural world. As a team this fosters a sense of bonding, shared experience, friendship and co-operation.

We provide opportunities for participants to experience deep relaxation and challenge on their own and/or as part of the team experience. In addition, we teach simple relaxation techniques that can be used in the work place or at home in times of stress.

Step 2 - Get Active

Physical activity is essential for maintaining good health and well-being. Studies have shown that regular exercise can help reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and obesity. It can also improve mental health by encouraging happier moods, and reduce feelings of stress, anxiety and racing thoughts.

Exercise outside can boost energy levels, and promote better sleep.  Trees and other woodland plants also contain and emit phytoncides that boost the immune system for up to 30 days after a day spent in a woodland environment.

We provide opportunities for participants to get energised through games and challenges and/or slow down and reconnect to their body through breathing exercises, yoga and gentle meditation.

Step 3 - Take Notice

Anchor 3

Mindfulness is often suggested as a way of reducing stress and anxiety. It encourages the participant to pay attention to the present moment by way of their senses - sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste. Bringing the mind into the present moment can relieve feelings of depression about past events or anxiety about future events. It is a skill that needs to be practised and our forest garden is the perfect place to practise this skill.

Looking at the leaves and flowers, listening to the birdsong and wind in the trees, putting your hands on a tree trunk and leaning against it, letting it take your weight or engaging in a skill such whittling a butter knife from freshly cut wood, tasting and sharing food that you've prepared on the fire are all ways to bring you into the present moment and reconnect to the joy that we experience in a beautiful, peaceful place.

We provide participants with opportunities to practise mindfulness and switch off from the stresses of work and everyday life. Here participants relax, have fun and take time to pay attention to themselves and each other, reconnect with a calm place inside themselves and deepening their relationships with their team mates. Teams can leave with a 'self-care tool kit' that they can use in the office or at home in times of stress and challenge.

Step 4 - Learn

Learning is essential for personal growth and development. It can improve cognitive function, memory, and overall well-being. Learning a new skill can be fun, build confidence and help participants acquire new knowledge and perspectives that can enhance their lives and careers.

Whether it's creating a fire from only natural materials, identifying birds by their song, discovering local, edible, wild plants, using a whittling knife to create a unique piece or cooking on the fire, the skills we offer encourage team members to engage with nature in a way they may never have before.

It can help them realise new potential, think outside the box and is especially useful for those that may feel stuck in a rut or need a fresh perspective.

Step 5 - Give

100% of surveyed participants said that "the session made them

feel more valued within their organisation."

Anchor 5

It has been evidenced that sharing, caring and mutual co-operation engender feelings of happiness and satisfaction. Giving gifts brings feelings of joy both for the giver and the receiver.

By providing your team the opportunity to spend the day with us you are letting them know that they are valued and appreciated.

This builds trust and strong lines of communication between management and staff that are essential for a healthy working environment.

Team members that trust their management are more likely to share concerns before they escalate or bring new ideas that are based in real world experience.
